April 24, 2005

We pulled into Sturgis, MI. late Saturday afternoon to setup for our Sunday morning service. The clouds were dark, the winds started picking up and down came the snow. It looked like the start of a winter blizzard, but by Monday it had all but disappeared.

Here is another interesting tidbit of news to close out the month of April with... We were told that this church building in Sturgis is being built by prisoners. They have been working on it little by little for the past 12 years. The church facility is three stories tall, and it's one of the nicest built church buildings we have seen. The craftsmanship is excellent!

I am reminded of God's promise to take even the bad things people face in life and work them out for good, for those who LOVE HIM. Praise GOD! Be praying that through this work on the church, God will minister directly and through church members, to these prisoners.
